By the time Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis managed to beat Hector Garcia to retain his WBA world lightweight champion title, the flight between the two professional wrestlers had spilled over from Saturday to Sunday and one of the people to blame for the delay was rapper Meek Mill.

Davis and Garcia both became distracted by a scuffle out in the audience at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, mid-round in the eight. Shortly afterward, the famed Philly rapper was seen being escorted out.

A video of the scuffle later went viral on Twitter. See it below:

Post-fight, Mill tweeted, “Congratulations tankkk!!! I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds. I missed the big bomb!!!” In a follow-up tweet Mill wrote that he would “never let no petty (stuff) escalate” before adding “I just walked away … I came to support tank and boots!!!!!!. Good wins.”

Mill said he almost fought Garry Russell Jr. and his brothers, Antonio and Gary Antuannae, both of whom are also boxers.

Since then Mill has been trolled on social media as a number of fans said that the musician probably made a wise decision by walking away. Wallo was also credited with calming down the heated situation by intervening in the scuffle.

“I certainly hope Meek Mill wasn’t trying to fight because we’ve seen his hands,” one fans aid, while another noted, “Meek mill finding out the tank Davis fight ended right when he got into his Uber after getting kicked out.” A third commented, “Meek better thank Wallo for stopping the fight.” One more stated, “Only in DC is where meek mill would try to fight Gary Russell Jr.” Another said, “Not the tank fight stopped cause of meek mill this is insanee!”
