Christian Kirk is an American football wide receiver and currently plies his trade in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars, after signing with the franchise on March 16, 2022. He was initially drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 3rd round of the 2018 NFL Draft as the 76th overall pick.

Who is Christian Kirk?

Christian Kirk was born on November 18, 1996, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He did his schooling at Saguaro High School there. Kirk was rated as a five-star recruit and considered one as one of the top prospects of his class, and he committed to Texas A&M University to play his collegiate football for the Texas A&M Aggies from 2015–2017. 

Kirk was made a starter in his freshman year itself and made 6 receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown in his debut college game. In 2015, his freshman year, he played 13 in which he recorded 80 receptions for 1009 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. In his sophomore year, he played all 13 games again, recording 83 receptions for 928 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. In 2017, as a junior, he once again played 13 games and recorded 71 receptions for 919 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns throughout the season.

Kirk decided to forego his senior year in college to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, and he became the 47th player to be selected in the draft when the Arizona Cardinals drafted him in the second round. 

He made his NFL debut in the 2018 season-opener against the Washington Redskins, making 2 punt returns for 44 net yards and a 4-yard reception in his first professional game. He played in 12 games in his rookie season of which he started seven, and recorded 43 receptions for 590 yards and three touchdowns. His rookie season ended in Week 13 after he broke his foot. Kirk finished the 2019 season, his second in the NFL, with 68 receptions for 709 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

He enjoyed his best season in the NFL in 2021 when he finished as the leading receiver of the Cardinals with a career-high 77 catches for 982 yards and five touchdowns.

After running down his rookie contract, Kirk signed a 4-year, $72 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
