Russell Wilson, born on November 29, 1988, attended Collegiate High in Richmond where he played football and baseball. He went on to earn all-state, all-region and all-district honors, and was named the 2005 Richmond Times-Dispatch Player of the Year as a junior. The Seahawk player was even featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces in the Crowd” in 2006.

His father, the late Harrison Wilson, III, played football and baseball at Dartmouth and was on the San Diego Chargers preseason squad, while his older brother, Harrison, IV, played football and baseball at Richmond. Russell Wilson is married to wife, Ciara, with whom he has three children.

Russell has a record of starting every game with 160 straight (144 regular seasons, 16 postseasons), with his regular-season starts being the second-longest active streak in the NFL. Russell, with his career passer rating (101.7), home rating (104.8) and road rating (98.6), ranks fourth in NFL history. He has clocked the most fourth-quarter victories at 35 when trailing or tied in the fourth quarter in the NFL since 2012.

Furthermore, he ranks second for the most passing touchdowns in a player’s first nine seasons in NFL history with 267.

Russell Wilson owns 26 major franchise records for a quarterback. Wilson led the Seattle Seahawks to the team’s first and only Super Bowl championship in the 2013-14 season.

He was signed by Seahawks to a four-year, $140 million contract extension in April 2019, making him the NFL’s highest-paid player. Additionally, the six-time Pro Bowler is the CEO of brand management firm West2East Empire, which has spawned two production companies. The 32-year-old, who was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2010, is an investor in the Portland Diamond Project. 

Only last week, Russell Wilson mourned the loss of his longtime mental-conditioning coach, business partner and best friend Trevor Moawad.  They first met in 2012 where Wilson was training ahead of the NFL draft at IMG Academy.
