Nokia on Thursday launched Nokia Media Streamer, its media streaming device, in India. The Nokia Media Streamer will be available on Flipkart and it will go on sale on the e-retail platform starting August 28 at a price of Rs 3,499.

Nokia Media Streamer is an Apple TV-like streaming device. It connects with a user’s TV and turns it into a smart TV by letting them access various OTT services and media-streaming platform with ease.

The device is powered by a quad-core processor and Mali 450 GPU. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space and runs on Google’s Android 9.0 operating system. Nokia’s newly launched media streaming device offers a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 60 frames per second.

The media streamer has dual-band WiFi support for 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz. It is also equipped with a multi I/O antenna for better reception. It has Dolby Digital Audio and a built-in Chromecast feature that allows users to cast their mobile phone screens onto the TV.

The Nokia Media Streamer also has a voice-controlled remote with Google Assistant. The remote has special hotkey buttons for accessing Netflix and Zee5.
