giant Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs’ handwritten application for a job from
1973 was sold for 162,000 pounds (1.6 crores) at an auction. The single-page letter, which is
reported to be one of Jobs’ first job application, was put up for sale on March
24 on the auction website Charterfeilds.

Reports also suggest that the application letter was filed by Steve a year before he got his first job as a video game designer in a company called Atari Inc as a technician. The letter, however, does not mention the job role he was applying for.

According to the auction website, Steve Jobs highlighted his experience with computers and calculators and special abilities in electronic tech or design engineer digital in the application and it is believed to be filed around the time he dropped out of Reed College in Portland, Oregon.

As far as the condition and authenticity of the letter is concerned, the application is in good condition with little creasing, staining and a cello tape stuck on the top edge, said Charterfeilds.

The letter was previously sold at a 2018 auction for over $175,000.
