Lawmakers at the Congress are holding a hearing Wednesday to urge top government officials to release more information about the unidentified anomalous phenomena, known as UAP or the Unidentified Flying Objects or UFOs. The hearing was called as a bipartisan momentum grows stringer for there to be a greater transparency about hundreds of pilots encountering inexplicable phenomena in the sky.

The House Oversight Committee’s national security subcommittee will be hearing from three witnesses claiming to have firsthand knowledge an alleged government coverup of UAP reports.

One if the witnesses to speak at the hearing is Ryan Graves, a former Navy pilot who has spoken out about encountering UAP on training missions. The second witness is David Fravor, who shot the viral “Tic Tac” video during a flight off the coast of California in 2004. The third is David Grusch, a former combat officer and member of a previous Pentagon task force.

“I’d like to thank these three brave witnesses here. They took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and daggamut, they’re doing it,” GOP Rep. Tim Burchett said at the beginning of the hearing. “We’re not bringing little green men or flying saucers into the hearing — sorry to disappoint about half of y’all — we’re just going to get to the facts. We’re going to uncover the cover-up, and I hope this is just the beginning of many more hearings and many more people coming forward about this.”

“It’s very important that we show that Democrats and Republicans in Congress can come together in a bipartisan way to cut through misinformation, and to look at the facts in a serious and thoughtful manner,” said Rep. Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the subcommittee.
