Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was ‘violently assaulted’ by an intruder who broke into their San Francisco home early Friday. A full recovery is anticipated for Pelsoi, who is currently being treated at a hospital, according to their spokesperson Drew Hammill. Nancy Pelosi wasn’t at home when it happened. Hammill said that the attacker is in custody and that the motive for the crime is being investigated.

According to Paul, he tried to downshift and slow down but still lost control of his car. When David Pelosi arrived at Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, he was declared dead.

When Pelosi was pursuing Bachelor of Science in foreign service, he met Nancy D’Alesandro, his future wife, who was studying at Trinity College, Washington D.C. They married on September 7, 1963, at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore, Maryland.

The 82-year-old has five children with her: Christine Pelosi, Nancy Corinne Pelosi, Alexandra Pelosi, Paul Pelosi Jr. and Jaqueline Pelosi. Christine Pelosi is also affiliated to the  Democratic Party, serving as their political strategist and is seen as a potential successor to her mother’s seat in the House.
