Having no respect for authority is encouraged, according to a Minneapolis science teacher who advises other instructors to include anti-capitalist content in their classrooms.

Through her many TikTok videos, Mandi Jung espoused anti-capitalist and anarchist philosophies. In addition, Jung stated that she is a member of the Industrial Workers of the World, an organisation with socialist and anarchist leanings.

Who is Mandi Jung?

Mandi Jung is a middle school teacher in Saint Paul who has developed a reputation for posting films about her teaching career. The teacher at Highland Park Middle School has a practice of regularly posting clips on TikTok promoting her radical left opinions.

Jung’s TikTok account can no longer be seen by the general public. Her account was primarily pro-gay and pro-transgender, according to an article published by the Minnesota-based publication Alpha News last year. This included a video in which she talked about taking her parents to a gay pride march.

“My students this year have no respect for authority,” the Saint Paul district teacher said in a recent video. “And I love that in a person because I have no respect for authority whatsoever. But it has been a frustrating year because I am the authority. So I’m like, ‘Damn the man,’ but I am the man.”

According to reports, Jung also said that “capitalist indoctrination” permeates biology class discussions about cells. According to the majority of her students, the nucleus, not the mitochondria, was the component of the cell that was most crucial because “without a boss, the cell would be in total chaos.”

“Bacteria don’t have a nucleus, and they are arguably one of the most successful classes of organisms on the planet. Bacteria out here are the original anarchists, right? No nucleus, no master. Seize the means of metabolism. I don’t know. It’s funny to me,” she reportedly said.
