Hossein Amanat is an Iranian-Canadian architect, best known for the Shahyad Tower in Tehran, Iran, the Baháʼí Arc buildings in Haifa, Israel as well as the House of Worship in Samoa.
When Amanat was a young graduate from the University of Tehran, he won a competition to design the Shahyad Tower, which later became the Azadi Tower. The success of the project led to Amanat taking on several other distinctive projects for the country, and his architectural structures show a Persian influence.
