Simorgh is a space launch vehicle (SPV) meant to carry heavy satellites into space. Simorgh was developed by Iran between 2010 and 2016 and is also called Safir-2. Simorgh is a two-stage liquid-fueled rocket developed from the Safir. 

Simorgh is 87 feet long and weighs 87 tonnes. At the first stage, it has a diameter of 2.4 meters powered by a cluster of four synchronised Safir-1B first-stage engines with four separate turbo pumps. 

The first stage is to use a set of four vernier engines. These engines, at liftoff, generate a total of 162,000 kgf. The second stage, with a diameter of 1.5 meters uses a set of four smaller engines similar to the two engine’s of Safir’s second stage.
