Answer- Flavian dynasty

The Flavian Amphitheater, often known as the Colosseum, is a sizable amphitheatre in Rome. It was constructed as a gift to the Roman people under the rule of the Flavian emperors.

Between 70 and 72 C.E., under the reign of Vespasian, work on the Colosseum began. It opened about a decade later and had numerous modifications in the years that followed.

Emperor Titus commemorated the opening of the Colosseum with a hundred days of gladiatorial contests. Emperors frequently visited the contests. Hundreds of times are known for the emperor Commodus to have given performances in the arena. The Colosseum held dramas, reenactments, and even public executions in addition to the games.

The games eventually lost the Romans’ attention. The Colosseum started to degrade after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The building was harmed by a succession of earthquakes that occurred in the fifth century C.E., in addition to neglect. Nearly two-thirds of the original structure had been demolished by the 20th century. Nevertheless, work on restoring the Colosseum started in the 1990s. With millions of visitors each year, it is now among Rome’s top tourist destinations in the present.

The structure was widely featured in the 2000 film Gladiator starring Russell Crowe. The film went on to win the Best Picture award at the Oscars.
