Titan Company Limited is an Indian luxury goods manufacturer that primarily produces fashion accessories such as jewellery, watches, and eyewear. The company is part of the Tata Group and began as a joint venture with the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). Its corporate headquarters are in Electronic City, Bangalore, and it maintains a registered office in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
Titan Watches Limited, a subsidiary of Titan, began operations in 1984. Titan expanded into jewellery with Tanishq in 1994, and then into eyewear with Titan Eyeplus. Fastrack, its young fashion accessories brand, was created in 2005. The company is India’s largest branded jewellery manufacturer, with the jewellery segment accounting for more than 80% of total revenue. Titan has a 6% market share in India’s jewellery sector as of 2022. It is also the world’s fifth-largest watch producer as of 2019.
Titan Engineering & Automation Limited is Titan’s sole subsidiary. Titan-Precision Engineering Division was its previous name. The company now specialises in machine construction, automation, and component production.
Favre Leuba, a Swiss watchmaker, was purchased in 2011 and incorporated as a Titan subsidiary in 2012. The company was bought out for €2 million. Its headquarters are located in Solothurn, Switzerland.
Titan paid $50 million for a 62 percent share in CaratLane 2016.
Titan Watch Company Limited in Hong Kong is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Favre Leuba AG in Switzerland.
Titan formed a cooperative partnership in 2015 to offer Swiss luxury brand Montblanc products through its retail stores. Titan owns 49 percent of Montblanc India Retail Private Limited, while Montblanc Services B.V. owns 51 percent.
