Answer: China

Tea is a beverage produced from boiled water and the leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). Traditional Chinese methods are used to process tea leaves. Chinese tea is taken throughout the day, including at meals, as a replacement for plain water, for health, or simply for enjoyment.

In some parts of China, customers are expected to clean their bowls and cutlery at the table by rinsing them with tea from the pot. Tea can be poured over utensils and placed in one of their bowls, or a bigger bowl can be given as a waste container for tea used to rinse bowls. In Chinese restaurants, tea is generally served instead of water, therefore it is a light-flavored drink.

When drunk on a daily basis, however, Chinese people prefer to utilise a specific personal tea container in which water is allowed to infuse with tea leaves for hours before being sipped continually. This practise, which is more common in everyday Chinese living, entails using the same tea leaves again throughout the day.

A traditional Chinese tea set includes distinctive clay or porcelain teapots, teacups, tea spoons, tea strainers, draining trays, tea forceps (for the leaves), huge forceps (for the tea cups), and tea caddies on occasion. All of this is stored on a unique wooden tea tray that has a draining arrangement and a receptacle for the drained water. Some Chinese people, however, use specifically designed electric hotplates for tea sets in current times.
