Months after beating New Zealand in a Test match for the first time in New Zealand, Bangladesh achieved first by scripting their maiden ODI series win over South Africa in South Africa. The visitors, led by Tamim Iqbal, hammered South Africa by 9 wickets, making light work of a chase of a paltry 155-run target in the final ODI of a 3-match series at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
In March, South Africa had won their first-ever international match in South Africa against South Africa at the same venue.
They had successfully defending a 317-run total in the first ODI. They lost the 2nd ODI in Johannesburg but the visitors were switched on and decimated the Proteas.

Bangladesh rode on a superb spell of fast-bowling from Taskin Ahmed who picked up his 2nd ODI 5-wicket haul earlier in the day.
Taskin had got the big wickets of Janneman Malan (39), Kyle Verreynne (9), David Miller (16), Dwaine Pretorius (20) and Kagiso Rabada (4) to finish with figures of 3/35 from 9 overs.
