Dolly Parton took to Twitter on Tuesday to give a glimpse of her updated Playboy look. The singer-actor recreated her look from a 1978 cover shoot for her husband%u2019s birthday. 

This comes as she couldn%u2019t make it on the cover of Playboy at 75 years old like she had hoped. Featuring black bunny ears, a black strapless bodysuit and a pink and white bow tie, the country singer captioned the video, %u201CIt%u2019s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl Happy birthday my love!%u201D

In the video, she went on to say, “Today is July 20th, it’s my husband Carl’s birthday and you’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this. Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday.%u201D “Remember some time back I said I was gonna pose in Playboy magazine when I’m 75? Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy,%u201D she added.

Dolly further talked about how her husband finds her hot even after 57 years. 

“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy%u2026 He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that,%u201D she said.  

Dolly Parton had earlier expressed her desire to be on the cover of the magazine when she turned 75. The %u2018Jolene%u2019 singer told 60 Minutes Australia in March 2020 that she didn%u2019t plan to retire. “I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” she said. 

“See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it would be such a hoot, if they’ll go for it %u2013 I don’t know if they will %u2013 if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

Parton first appeared on the cover of Playboy in its October 1978 issue.
