With season 2, the bathtub scenes of Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, will come to an end, as told by the actor himself at the WitcherCon. Apart from its expansive story, eccentric characters, and inventive settings, The Witcher was accepted with a massive postive reaction also because of its multiple scenes in which Geralt was seen bare-chested in a bathtub, giving Cavill the opportunity to show off his sculpted-to-perfection physique.

These bathtub scenes, which have gone on to become one of the more popular images from the show, are actually an homage to an iconic moment from The Witcher video games from CD Projekt Red. Since Geralt spends most of his time hunting monsters for gold, he understandably enjoys a nice long warm soak to unwind. Season 1 of The Witcher actually included two bathtub scenes to many fans%u2019 excitement, but now Cavill comes bearing bad news for season 2.

During an interview at WitcherCon this past weekend, host Josh Horowitz relayed a fan question about Geralt%u2019s bathing habits. Sadly, the actor says The Witcher season 2 won%u2019t include any more bathtub scenes. “Geralt only showers from now on. He invented the shower for this very reason,” Cavill jokes around 34 minutes into the interview. “Myself, personally, there’s no bathtub scenes, but people will not be disappointed, there’s plenty of man flesh to be observed.”

Season 1 of The Witcher ended up including not one, but two bathing scenes. The first is in episode 4, which is not the most relaxing affair for Geralt, considering Jaskier is there with him. The next one comes in episode 5 when he shares a candle-lit bath with Yennefer.
