Amul on Sunday paid tribute to the legendary actor Sean Connery on social media, who died on Saturday at the age of 90. Connery charmed everyone with his charismatic depiction of author Ian Fleming’s British spy James Bond.

Inspired by the actor’s memorable character and unforgettable dialogue “The name’s Bond… James Bond”, the line on Amul’s black-and-white poster read, “Connery. Sean Connery (1930-2020).”

Amul also gave the reference of his 1971 superhit ‘Diamonds Are Forever’ as the tagline on the image read, “A diamond is forever…”

The 90-year-old veteran actor was the first actor to portray James Bond on the silver screen appearing in seven installments of the 007 Bond thriller.

He won the Academy Award in the Best Supporting Actor category in 1988, for his role in ‘The Untouchables’. Besides the Oscars, Connery also won two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.

Connery was voted the sexiest man of the century in 1999, and was awarded the Knighthood in 2000 for his services to film and drama.
