The Indian television industry has given us some precious gems in the past. One of them was late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died on June 14, 2020. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with ‘Kai Po Che’, gained popularity for the portrayal of character ‘Manav’ in the popular TV series ‘Pavitra Rishta’.
After starring in a couple of Bollywood big-hit movies, Rajput returned to TV for a special episode of another hit TV series %u2018CID%u2019. In 2015, Sushant played the role of a detective in a special episode of the show.
Apart from the TV industry, he worked in Bollywood movies such as %u2018M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story%u2019, %u2018Shudd Desi Romance%u2019 among others.
Before the release of his film %u2018Detective Byomkesh Bakshy%u2019, Rajput, in his special appearance in CID, helped ACP Pradyuman, Daya and Abhijeet in solving a murder mystery series across Mumbai and Kolkata.
Rajput, along with the CID team, tried to solve the murder mystery, the clues of which indicated it was a case of poisoning.
After receiving a positive and critical appreciation for his performance in Dibakar Banerjee%u2019s %u2018Detective Byomkesh Bakshy%u2019, there were reports that the film might even get a sequel.
