Drishyam 2 has become a highly anticipated film and any and every update on the film is becoming a trend. On Thursday, Tabu shared a poster of the film featuring Akshaye Khanna and it started trending immediately.

On the poster, Akshaye Khanna is shown intently staring at the camera, with what appear to be chess pieces in the foreground.
Tabu posted an image of the poster on her Instagram account and added a caption to it. “Dushman ko harane ka mauka aksar dushman aapko khud deta hai (Often the enemy itself gives you the chance to defeat the enemy). Drishyam 2. Case re opens 18th November 2022”, the caption read.
Akshaye Khanna is the most recent entry in the franchise which stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, and Tabu in roles they played in the thriller’s first part. Ajay Devgn plays Vijay Salgoankar in the movie, and Tabu is back as Meera Deshmukh, the Inspector General of Police.
The movie’s creators have been actively promoting posts from the movie on social media. Ajay Devgn shared a summary of the plot thus far (see the first chapter of Drishyam) and asked: “Vijay aur uske parivaar ki kahaani toh yaad hogi na aapko? Yaad dilaye kya? (You must be familiar with Vijay and his family’s tale. Or shall I remind?)”
Just like the first installment in the franchise, Drishyam 2 is also the remake of the renowned Mohanlal-starring Malayalam film of the same name. The Jeethu Joseph-directed Malayalam film portrayed Georgekutty (Mohanlal) and his family as they faced speculation after the death of the Inspector General of Police’s son.
In the sequel, which was made available on Prime Video last year, Georgekutty made the shift from being a cable TV supplier to a would-be film producer while the family still had to deal with their past.

The sequel of the Hindi version is produced by Viacom18 Studios, Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Panorama Studios and is directed by Abhishek Pathak. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, the movie Drishyam 2 will open in theaters on November 18.
