Jarrett worked as a producer and member of the creative team until 2021, when he left the organisation. Then, just a few months ago, he made another unexpected return as WWE‘s Senior Vice-President of Live Events.
This assignment didn’t last long. According to PWInsider, Jarrett recently “left” the role and the organisation. The site confirmed his departure, with some of their sources claiming that Double-J ended his role last Friday.

There are no details on how this happened, but we may hear Jeff’s account on a forthcoming episode of his My World podcast. The obvious speculation is that Jarrett’s departure is connected to WWE‘s massive management shake-up following Vince’s resignation last month.

According to what is known, Jarrett has a good relationship with Triple H (the new head of talent & creative was said to have been influential in getting Jarrett into the Hall of Fame). However, there is no doubt a lot of manipulation going on behind the scenes at WWE right now, so that may not have made a difference.

Or is Jarrett looking for greener pastures elsewhere? He’s already a part of Conrad Thompson’s podcast network, was a significant part of the Conrad-promoted Ric Flair‘s Last Match show, and Thompson has teased — and possibly taken some moves toward — continuing in the wrestling business.
