Bollywood and Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, on Friday, announced that they had become parents to a baby born through surrogacy. The name of child is not known as of now.

Announcing the birth of their child, the 39-year-old wrote that she was “overjoyed” but asked for “privacy” in “this special time” to focus on her “family.”

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta and her husband, Gene Goodenough, announced in November 2021 that they had become parents to twins through surrogacy. Zinta and Goodenough named their babies Jai and Gia.

They also shared a statement, saying, “Hi everyone, I wanted to share our amazing news with all of you today. Gene & I are overjoyed & our hearts are filled with so much gratitude & with so much love as we welcome our twins Jai Zinta Goodenough & Gia Zinta Goodenough into our family.”

Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan welcomed their third child, AbRam Khan, in May 2013 via surrogacy.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra opted for surrogacy for their second child, Samisha Shetty Kundra, who was born on February 15, 2020.

Karan Johar

The director-producer welcomed his twins Roohi Johar and Yash Johar through surrogacy in February 2017. 

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy in December 2011.

Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber became parents to twin boys Noah and Asher through surrogacy in March 2018. The couple also adopted a baby girl Nisha.

Tusshar Kapoor

Actor Tusshar Kapoor welcomed his son Laksshya Kapoor through surrogacy in June 2016.

Ekta Kapoor

Tusshar’s sister Ekta Kapoor welcomed a baby boy, Ravie Kapoor in January 2019.
