A fresh rumor contends that Tatooine, a desert planet, will continue to play a significant role in ‘The Mandalorian’ season 3. Tatooine may have a larger significance in the overall storyline of this season, despite the fact that Din Djarin has already traveled there in ‘The Mandalorian’ seasons 1 and 2 as well as ‘The Book of Boba Fett’. Tatooine is shown in the teaser of the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’, which raises the questions — why Din and Grogu have made yet another appearance.

Why does the Mandoverse keep going back to Tatooine?

Din Djarin visited the desert plant, Tatooine, in both the previous seasons. Din was a bounty hunter before his time along with Grogu, and Tatooine’s Mos Eisley was the ideal location to get fresh assignments because it was previously known from ‘A New Hope’ that many bounty hunters utilised it as a sort of home base. Din and Grogu returned to Tatooine in season 2 after receiving information that another Mandalorian was residing in Mos Pelgo. Din thought it strange that after spending so much time on Tatooine, he had never encountered another Mandalorian.

Tatooine keeps popping up in both ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘The Book of Boba Fett’, and while at first it seemed like a great throwback to earlier ‘Star Wars’ films, there wasn’t anything really alluring about the outer rim planet. Din Djarin, however, has a reason to return to Tatooine following the events of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ since he has important allies Boba Fett and Fennec Shand there. Din is certain that they will support him and assist him if he finds himself in a bind. Although Boba Fett’s desire to remain on Tatooine at first sounded strange, it now seems appropriate that he is preserving Anakin and Luke Skywalker’s home world.

Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ is heavily based on Tatooine

The Mandalorians require a safe place, which is one of the reasons why Tatooine appears predominantly in ‘The Mandalorian season’ 3 teaser. They lost their home planet, and now they are dispersed throughout the cosmos. Nevertheless, as Jabba the Hutt’s successor, Boba Fett now governs Mos Espa. Boba could have reserved resources and land for the Mandalorians with this power. Despite not having been born on Mandalore, Boba still sees himself as one of them, even though Bo Katan Kryze does not. He may also do it to show Din his appreciation for  helping him and Grogu fight the Pykes in The Book of Boba Fett.

Boba Fett would enable the various Mandalorian clans to join together and meet the problems ahead of them, particularly when it comes to reestablishing Mandalore, by reserving territory or even merely inviting Mandalorians. Also, this would provide Star Wars justification for bringing Boba Fett back after a fairly underwhelming solo series. The much-loved figure would get atonement and be given the opportunity to become more than simply the Daimyo of Mos Espa.

The importance of Tatooine explained further

Tatooine would have more significance in the overall Star Wars universe when the Mandalorians would all reassemble there. The plot may serve as a unifying thread for planned Ahoska Disney+ series as well as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and The Mandalorian. Since Tatooine was intended to serve as the base for several Mandalorian clans, it would also imply that other clans—such as former Death Watch members, Clan Wren, which might include Sabine, and perhaps even a live-action Fenn Rau—come out of hiding.

The loss of Mandalore may serve as the impetus for the various Mandalorian clans to reconcile and make peace with one another. While they can argue amicably on their planet, it is far more difficult for them to oppose one another when they don’t have a genuine home. In addition, Din Djarin may lead his people to resettle and rebuild Mandalore while Tatooine might serve as a temporary residence.

When ‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 debuts on Disney+ on March 1, viewers won’t fully understand why or how Din Djarin was able to bring all the various Mandalorian tribes to Tatooine. To aid Din Djarin, it is hoped that the first few episodes would provide some clarity and reintroduce figures like Boba Fett and Fennec Shand. In either case, Season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’ will undoubtedly be action-packed and bring Din Djarin and Grogu back to the screen.
