The semifinal of Masked Singer season 8 has finally revealed the identity of the celebrity who has been performing as Snowstorm. The semifinal, which was themed on Thanksgiving, saw the acts Snowstorm, The Lamb Masks, and Harp.

After the performances, the judges deemed Snowstorm to be the weakest among the three, and this is the reason the celebrity hiding behind the mask had to reveal herself, and it turned out to be none other than comedian Nikki Glaser.

It must be acknowledged that Glaser’s run in the show has been amazing, especially considering the fact that musical legends like Ray J. Parker, Gloria Gaynor, and George Clinton had to bow out much earlier.

In the clue that Glaser as Snowstorm gave about her identity, she mentioned Bob Saget as one of her close friends. Saget himself had participated in season 4 of the Masked Singer as the Squiggly Monster. Glaser said about the deceased comedian, “Squiggly monster was a dear friend of mine who is no longer with us and it feels weird to cry with this voice.  But he was the reason I did this show because his experience was so rewarding and I’m so glad he was able to have it before he passed away. My performances have been for him, whether he wanted it or not.”

The panel of judges, which includes Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke, had guessed the celebrity under the garb to be anyone among Glaser, Whitney Cummings, or Kristen Wiig.

In a pre-recorded voiceover, the 38-year-old comedian said, “I hope I’m making it to the finals next week and I can continue to inspire any kid of adult out there who doesn’t think they have it. Because I promise you, you do have it. You just have to unmask it.”

Snowstorm’s performance of Katy Perry’s Thinking of You was appreciated by the judges in the semifinal. While McCarthy said, “That performance was so beautiful, so touching; I can hear your passion behind your voice,” Jeong added, “You’re peaking at the right time. … This is your moment”.
