Amazon Festival Quiz (October 13, 2021): According to Hindu mythology Ramayana, which puja is performed by Lord Rama to win over Ravana?

Durga Puja

Vishnu Puja

Kali Puja

Shiva Puja

Answer: Durga Puja

Akaal Bodhan is the worship of Durga, an incarnation
of Devi,
in the month of Ashwin, an uncustomary time for commencement of the worship.

Both the words Akaal and Bodhan are Sanskrit words,
which are also included in many other Indian languages, such as like Bengali and Hindi. The word Akaal means
untimed and the word Bodhan means worship or invocation.

In the Ramayana, Rama travels to Lanka to reclaim his
abducted wife, Sita, from Ravana, the Demon King of Lanka. Rama sought Devi
Durga‘s blessings before beginning his war with Ravana. He discovered that the
Goddess would be delighted only if 108 Neel Kamal were used to worship her
(blue lotuses). Rama was only able to gather one hundred and seven of them
after travelling to far-flung locations. He eventually chose to donate one of
his blue lotus-like eyes. Rama’s dedication delighted Durga, who came in front
of him and blessed him.

Devi assumed the identity of Chandi in order to
assassinate the demon brothers Chanda and Munda. Because Chanda and his brother
Munda could not be murdered during the day or at night, the Sandhi-kshna was
chosen to kill them. Ravana was slain on Dashami, the ninth day. This puja is
also known as Akal-Bodhan, worship in an unusual time because the season of
this devotion differed from the traditional era.
