According to the report, the BCCI officials
also insisted that the schedule is final despite a clash with an international
game, an ODI between India and West Indies. The board has also assured the
franchises that the match will have no impact on the auction proceedings and
both will continue as per the schedule. India are scheduled to take on West
Indies in the second ODI on February 12 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

“It has been clarified to us that the
match and auction are two different things and both will go ahead,” a
franchise official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

broadcaster has already been apprised about the auction schedule. Now, the
board is waiting for its response.

The report also stated that the BCCI has
communicated the matter of the IPL auction with international boards and state
associations and asked them to send the list of players who wish to be
auctioned for the IPL 2022 by January 17.
