Here are five players SRH should target in the IPL 2022 auction:

Jason Roy (Rs 5 crore): After releasing both David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, SRH will search for a top-order batsman. Jason Roy of England, who played for them in the UAE leg of the tournament last season, might be the right candidate for SRH. Roy can cause havoc at the top of the order, and SRH should aim to get him.

Shikhar Dhawan (Rs 5 crore): Shikhar Dhawan can surely assist boost SRH’s batting squad, which has been lacking inexperience. Dhawan, who has already played for the franchise, will also be quick to adjust. SRH should surely try to re-sign a player of his calibre.

Quinton de Kock (Rs 7 crore): The franchises are expected to overpay for South African wicketkeeper-battler Quinton de Kock. After being released by the Mumbai Indians, de Kock’s name will be on the radar of every franchise. He has the ability to bat both at the top and bottom of the order. Furthermore, his wicketkeeping talents are unrivalled. SRH should absolutely look at hiring him.

Yuzvendra Chahal (Rs 6 crore): With Rashid Khan deciding to leave SRH for the Gujarat Titans, SRH would be anxious to find someone who can fill the void in the spin bowling department. Chahal, who is now a free agent after being released by the RCB, can easily fill the vacuum created by Afghanistan’s spinner.
