Messaging app WhatsApp might start testing its much-anticipated multi-device feature as soon as this week. Users will be able to log into numerous devices with the same WhatsApp account without having to log out of any of them, as the name indicates.
Multi-device assistance on WhatsApp has been leaked in the past on several instances and is now slated for launch. This comes after Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, and Will Cathcart, the CEO of WhatsApp, both stated that multi-device testing for public beta users will begin in a month or two. This new feature is expected to enable users to connect up to four devices with the same account simultaneously.

On July 6, WABetaInfo, a renowned WhatsApp features tracker, tweeted that the multi-device feature would be available shortly for testing. The tracker will shortly announce the deployment along with information on how to participate in the public beta test.
The public beta programme is likely to be restricted in scope, therefore consumers should subscribe to WABetaInfo and turn on alerts to get real-time updates. In any event, the tracker indicates that the multi-device beta will allow users to access WhatsApp Web without using their phone’s Internet connection.

To participate in the multi-device beta programme, WhatsApp users must be on the current beta version of WhatsApp for Android and WhatsApp for iOS, according to the features tracker. The first version of the public beta is scheduled to be released shortly, after which the firm will likely test it for some time before making it available to all consumers commercially.
WABetaInfo also released an image of the planned multi-device feature, which showed a dialogue box inviting users to join the multi-device beta. The text in the dialogue box reads, %u201CUse WhatsApp on up to 4 additional devices at once without keeping your phone online.%u201D

As previously stated, multi-device functionality has been in the works for over a year. However, the company has resolved all bugs and is reportedly ready to launch the first version of the public beta, according to Zuckerberg, who spoke about the feature’s delay to WABetaInfo.
