Cyrus Mistry, the former Tata Group chairman, was killed in a car accident in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. Mistry is survived by his wife, Rohiqa Chagla, and two sons, Firoz Mistry and Zahan Mistry.

Who is Rohiqa Chagla?

Rohiqa Chagla married Cyrus Mistry in 1992. She holds directorial positions in a number of private as well as publicly traded companies. She is the daughter of Iqbal Chagla, a prominent Indian lawyer. She is the granddaughter of MC Chagla, an Indian freedom fighter who served in the Jawaharlal Nehru Cabinet and also as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court from 1947 to 1958. MC Chagla was a member of the Muslim League, but severed all ties with the organization when its leader, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, began fighting for a separate Muslim state.
