Minnesota Vikings defeated New Orleans Saints 28-25 to clinch a last second thriller at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. This will be heartbreak for the Saints’ kicker Wil Lutz kicked a 61-yard field goal that did a double doink, i.e hit the upright and the crossbar, to fall back into the endzone

This will be heartbreak for the Saints, as they were in the game just until the last minute. In the fourth quarter with just four minutes on the clock, Justin Jefferson gave Vikings a 25-22 lead when rushed to the left for 3 yard touchdown. However, Saints cameback to tie the scoreline, after Wil Lutz kicked a 60 yard field goal. However, Vikings again took the lead with a 47-yard field goal from Greg Josephs.

Early in their opening drive, the Vikings scored a touchdown. Quarterback Kirk Cousins quickly established rapport with his wide receivers, especially Adam Thielen.

The Saints on the other hand, didn’t have their best start in the London game, going two three-and-outs with QB Andy Dalton, who replaced an injured Jameis Winston. As the first quarter came to a close, the Saints defense finally acted with a Tyrann Mathieu interception of Cousins.

As the first quarter came to a close, the Saints defense finally accomplished something, and they did it effectively with a Tyrann Mathieu interception of Cousins. The Saints finally tied the scoreline in the beginning of the second quarter, after Chris Olave scored first career TD

From that point on, it was all about field goals. With just over a minute left in the half, Greg Joseph kicked a 28-yard field goal to give the Vikings the lead back. With a clever fake punt, the Vikings were able to complete a 13-yard pass to Thielen using punter Ryan Wright, but they were only able to score three points.

It was only in the fourth quarter of the game that the Saints were able to take lead for the first time, with the help of a Taysom Hill touchdown run and a successful two-point conversion. Justin Jefferson quickly erased the advantage with his own TD, although the margin of victory was only three points after the extra point was missed.

Wil Lutz’s 60-yard field goal to tie the score at 25 seemed to send it into overtime, but Minnesota won the game overseas thanks to a Vikings field goal and Lutz’s game-ending double doink miss.
