According to TMZ Sports, Andy Ruiz’s ex obtained a temporary restraining order against the famed boxer earlier this month after accusing him of abusing, terrorizing, and raping her throughout their relationship. Ruiz, however, vehemently disputes the accusations and insists that he is the true victim of the incident.
Who is Julia Lemus?
Julia Lemus is the 26-year-old ex-girlfriend of former heavyweight boxing champion Andy Ruiz Jr. She has filed a lawsuit against him after she accused him of repeatedly raping and assaulting her throughout the course of their relationship.
Ruiz is the subject of a temporary restraining order that Lemus has already secured against him. According to Lemus, Ruiz “sexually, physically, and psychologically abused her, making her feel like feel like she had to walk on eggshells around him.”

Lemus claimed that Ruiz “pointed an AK-47 at my face” when she voiced concern about the number of weapons he was purchasing.
The restraining order compels Ruiz to keep at least 100 feet away from Lemus and forbids him from possessing any firearms. Lemus was also granted sole legal and physical custody of the couple’s children by the court, at least until a hearing on Monday.
Ruiz responded to Lemus’ court petition by stating in his paperwork that he “categorically denies that he ever has abused Julia Lemus or his children.”

In his claims, Ruiz also claimed that Lemus had stabbed him with a knife in February 2020, and he made a second claim that she had “entered my hotel room with a loaded gun in her hand, and screamed, ‘everybody get the f–k out of here.'”
Ruiz claimed Lemus smashed furniture in the hotel room and used the gun to hit one of his friends in the head. In addition, he charged her with robbing him in March of jewelry valued at $250,000.
