Miami Dolphins backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who replaced Tua Tagovailoa against the New York Jets, made headlines in NFL Week 5 when he suffered a big hit that forced him to leave the field. The 29-year-old was filling in for first-choice quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the game, who suffered a horrific head injury in the previous week.

Bridgewater suffered the injury when he took a heavy hit from the Jets’ cornerback Sauce Gardner, resulting in a grounding penalty as well as a safety. The hit also forced him to go out of the field and to the locker room before the Dolphins confirmed that he is being evaluated for head and shoulder injuries.
