The 2022 NFL season began on September 8, 2022. The Buffalo Bills defeated the Los Angeles Rams with a 31-10 victory at SoFi Stadium in the NFL kickoff game. Former Rams turned Bills, Von Miller slacked former teammate Matthew Stafford for an 8-yard loss. 

The 33-year-old helped the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl last year. Miller got a six-year $120 million deal with the Buffalo Bills in March 2022. In his debut with the Buffalo Bills, he recorded two sacks and three tackles. 

Who is Von Miller?

Vonnie B’VSean Miller is an American football outside linebacker for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. He was born on March 28, 1989, in Dallas. He attended DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, where he played for the DeSoto Eagles high school football team and ran track.

Miller in his junior year recorded 37 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries. As a senior, he was named the District 8-5A Defensive MVP after making 76 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 6 sacks. Miller was listed as the No. 15 weakside defensive end in the nation in 2007. 

He attended Texas A&M University, where he played for the Texas A&M Aggies football team from 2007 to 2010. He was selected by the Denver Broncos second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. Miller signed his rookie contract on March 28, 2011.

Miller had his first sack on Andy Dalton when the Broncos played the Cincinnati Bengals. He was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his week 11 performance against the New York Jets. 

He was ranked 9th in the NFL: The Top 100 Players of 2013. In 2015, Miller became the third fastest player in NFL history to reach 50 sacks in a career (58 games). At the conclusion of the 2015 NFL season, Miller was named Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowl 50. On December 19, 2017, Miller was named to his sixth Pro Bowl. 

He was named the 2018 Pro Bowl defensive MVP. Miller was again ranked ninth in the NFL: Top 100 Players of 2018. Miller was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a second and third-round draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft on November 1, 2021.

Miller is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection, receiving first-team All-Pro honours three times and second-team All-Pro honours four times. As of 2022, he has the most career sacks for any active player. 

In March 2022, he signed a six-year $120 million deal with Buffalo Bills.
