Brian Szasz, the stepson of Hamish Harding, has deleted his Twitter account after he was severely criticized by social media users over his actions, including flirting with an OnlyFans model and feuding with rapper Cardi B.
Harding a British businessman and aviator, is one of five ill-fated passengers stuck in the submersible, along with OceanGate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush, British-Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman Dawood; and French Titanic expert and retired diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
Is Brian Szasz autistic?
According to People Magazine, Brian Szasz has autism spectrum disorder. According to a year-old article, Szasz was detained in June 2021 on online stalking charges. He suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome and is a Type 1 diabetic which has progressed into retinopathy, a condition that deteriorates the retina for some with diabetes.
The 37-year-old shared a series of emotional videos on his Instagram Story Thursday morning, just hours before the vessel’s oxygen supply was expected to run out. “This whole situation is a f—— nightmare though, everything about it, especially what Hamish is going through down there, it’s just f—— God awful,” he said. “I really appreciate the love and support. I haven’t slept in days, it’s not about me, obviously just too worried about my mom and the situation so I’m not rocking out or whatever they’re trying to accuse me of doing.”
Titan, which is the missing submersible owned by OceanGate Expeditions, lost all contact with its commanding ship a little more than an hour after it began its descent into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, to survey the wreckage of Titanic. Despite a massive-scale search and rescue operation being conducted by marine officials from multiple countries in the area, there has been no positive news yet about the missing submersible. The submersible’s breathing air supply theoretically ran out on Thursday, June 22, at 7:08 EST.
Brian Szasz’s controversial actions
Szasz has stirred up a lot of drama after he initially seemed concerned about the wellbeing of his stepfather. “Thoughts and prayers for my stepfather Hamish Harding as his submarine has gone missing exploring Titanic. A search and rescue mission is underway. Thoughts and prayers for my mom and Hamish Harding,” he had written on Facebook on Monday.
However, on Tuesday, Szasz was seen enjoying a Blink-182 concert in San Diego. He posted a pic of himself outside the venue, with the caption, “It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it’s my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!”
Needless to say, his now-deleted post got a lot of backlash from people online. He addressed the same on the Instagram story. “So I’m not rocking out or whatever they’re trying to accuse me of doing, but it just f—— makes the situation that much worse,” he said. “To have outside forces that are using their power for complete f—— evil, my God. Thanks again, have a good night.”
“I go to a Blink-182 concert, it wasn’t like I was having super fun, I was celebrating having a great time,” Szasz added in another Story. “I was just listening to some of my all-time favorite songs, nodding my head and just trying to get off the phone for maybe like two hours or so and then come right back into the drama. The submarine is stuck at the damn Titanic, there is nothing I can do for the situation at all, so that’s the truth.”
He also stirred up a feud with Cardi B. Cardi uploaded to her Instagram Story on Tuesday night to point how Szasz’s decision to attend the show rather than doing his bit to comfort his mother was in poor taste.
“One of the billionaires, their stepson is at a Blink-182 concert, and people is like, ‘Well what is he supposed to do, be sad at the house? Is he supposed to go look for himself? Yes,” the musician said. “You supposed to be at the house, sad. You supposed to be crying for me. You supposed to be right next to the phone, waiting to hear any updates about me. You supposed to be consoling your mom and s—. Isn’t it sad that you a whole f—— billionaire and nobody gives a f— about you? Like, you missing, and motherf—– are ready to shake d—- at concerts,” she said. “That’s crazy. I’d rather be broke and poor but knowing that I’m loved.”
On Wednesday, Szasz was seen flirting with OnlyFans model Brea on Twitter. He was seen replying to an OnlyFans model named Brea, who tweeted a third trap photo of herself with the caption, “can i sit on u.” Szasz, who has been extremely active on social media ever since the disappearance of his stepdad, replied to the tweet, writing, “Yes please!”
