Emma Corrin who essays the role of Princess Diana in the drama series ‘The Crown%u2019 revealed that she was hospitalised during filming for a scene in Spain. Corrin spoke about the challenges she faced while filming the long-awaited fourth season which premiered on Netflix. Emma has played the iconic role of the “people’s princess” with ease and also bears a striking resemblance to a young Diana.

%u201CI%u2019m asthmatic and I had been ill for a while with a bad cough,%u201D she told Glamour magazine. %u201CI had to film a scene in a freezing-cold swimming pool, with the kids playing William and Harry. It was honestly the hardest scene to film because I was genuinely keeping myself alive treading water and also keeping 5-year-old %u2018Harry%u2019 alive, as we found out he couldn%u2019t swim!%u201D

Emma continued, %u201CWe were meant to be flying back that night to the UK, so we went past a hospital to get me antibiotics. The doctors gave me an oxygen test and said, %u2018We cannot let you go because your oxygen levels are so low,%u2019 so I was hospitalized.%u201D

She also confessed that her experience in the hospital was amazing and memorable, as the staff recognized her playing Princess Diana in the super successful series. The Crown was a huge success, with fans eagerly waiting for another season to drop.

The filming of the new season has started, according to Variety. Netflix recently announced Elementary actor Jonny Lee Miller will play former Conservative Prime Minister John Major in the upcoming season of the series. No official release date has been announced yet. Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Diana in the upcoming season.
