Music maestro AR Rahman amped up the spirits of an already spirited audience occupying Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium for the IPL 2022 closing ceremony on Sunday.
After Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's energetic dance performance set the stage on fire, Rahman's hit tracks like 'Jai Ho' and 'Rang De Basanti' reverberated across the stadium.
Along with backup singers and dancers, Rahman sang 'Ma Tujhe Salam' as Indian flags were being waved all around. Actor Akshay Kumar was also spotted in the audience.
With music in the air, Ranveer Singh took a lap around the arena, hi-fiving Rajasthan Royals' R Ashwin who was standing along the boundary.
As Rahman performed 'Jai Ho', Singh danced on the stage with a mic in hand.
During the 'Vande Mataram' performance, Rahman was seen wearing a black blazer with silver details, along with his signature dark sunglasses. Standing next to him was vocalist Neeti Mohan in a sparkly light blue one-shouldered dress.
Bringing the ceremony to a close, Rahman said, "Have a great game. God bless you all. Jai Ho."
Earlier in the day, Neeti Mohan shared behind-the-scenes clips of her rehearsals with Rahman.
Sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote, "Excitement level #IPLFinal #GTvsRR #tataiplStoked to be performing with @arrahman sir and gang."
On the other hand, Ranveer Singh also shared a glimpse of his dance sessions on Instagram.
"Capacity Crowd? .... Just bring it! Tune in to watch me live performing at the Closing ceremony of Tata IPL Final 2022 on Star Sports & Disney Hotstar today at 6.25 pm.#TATAIPL #TATAIPLFINAL @iplt20," he wrote in the caption.
