Miami Dolphins’ winning streak in NFL 2022 came to an end after the Cincinnati Bengals defeated them 27-15 at the Paul Brown Stadium on Thursday. 

 Quarterback Joe Burrow tossed a late 2-yard touchdown pass to Hayden Hurst to seal the win. Here are the highlights of the game:

Tua Tagovailoa injured:

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was slammed to the ground in the first half of the Thursday Night game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old was carted off the field. The team later announced that the star player suffered head and neck injuries

“Tua Tagovailoa has been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. He is conscious and has movement in all his extremities,” the Dolphins said on Twitter. 

The QB was injured last week during his side’s win against the Bills. 

Joe Burrow’s hot and cold show: 

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was coming off a grand Week 3 show against the New York Jets. He passed for 275 yards and three touchdowns.

On Thursday, Burrow struggled in the first half of the game. However, he managed to find WR Tee Higgins to keep the pressure on. He was 20 for 31 for 287 yards and two touchdowns as the Bengals won their second game in five days after dropping the first of the season. 

Tee Higgins looked promising: 

Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins caught seven passes for 124 yards and a TD. With his partner Joe Mixon struggling to lead charge, the 23-year-old hauled in a 59-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

He averaged 17.7 yards per catch. Higgins revealed in postgame interviews that he suffered a sprained ankle early in the game and at a later point in the game actually reaggravated it. 

Bridgewater led Dolphins to TD in the drive where Tua got injured:

On the drive, Tua got injured, his backup Teddy Bridgewater led a touchdown. The drive was capped by a 7-yard shovel pass to Chase Edmonds.

Bridgewater threw an incomplete pass on Miami’s final drive to turn the ball over on downs with 57 seconds left.

Tagovailoa was 8 for 14 for 110 yards and an interception before his injury. Bridgewater finished 14 for 23 for 193 yards, a touchdown and an interception in relief.
