Miss Americana

Answer- Our Great National Parks

Our Great National Parks is a five-episode documentary series focused on some of the world’s most popular and remarkable national parks. The series, which released on April 13, 2022, on Netflix, was narrated by Barack Obama, the former President of the United States.

The first episode of the series makes us aware of the many beauties of the natural world, and features Australia’s Great Barrier Reef as well as the Japanese islands. The second episode Chile’s Patagonia region while the third talks about the different forms of life in Kenya’s Tsavo Conservation Area. The fourth episode focuses on California’s Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and the fifth episode talks about Indonesia’s Gunung Leuser National Park.

After completing his second term as President, Obama stepped away from active politics and involved himself more in the fields of arts and letters. He published a memoir called A Promised Land, for which he signed a $65-million deal with Penguin Random House. Obama also ended up winning the Audio Publishers Association (APA) Award for best narration of the book.

Obama, along with musician Bruce Springsteen, worked on a podcast series called Renegades: Born in the USA. The former President has also started a production house along with his wife, Michelle, called Higher Ground Productions. This company had earlier signed a multi-year deal with Spotify to create podcasts exclusively for the platform. However, the Obamas’ company exited from the deal and went on to sign another contract with Audible.
