K-pop band BTS enjoys a massive fan following in India and when the group performed right after actor Priyanka Chopra’s  appearance at the Global Citizen Music Festival on Saturday, fans assumed that this could be a hint of the band coming to India for a live gig.

“Priyanka Chopra hosting I told ya’ll BTS coming to India,” one person wrote.

“Coldplay did a whole song in India- Coldplay did a colab with BTS- so BTS are coming to India soon,” another person wrote.

“I told you I believe in you. The universe is moving things, bts is coming to India,” another user commented.

BTS performed to their hit songs at the event on Saturday. They did not appear at the event in person, but filmed their performance from Seoul. Priyanka, on the other hand, grabbed all the attention when she took to stage as a presenter.

Prior to the event, Priyanka shared a video from Paris on her Instagram handle.

“Here I am! Global Citizen live baby, in Paris. There has never been a greater need for advocacy than right now,” she said.

Global Citizen began in 2008 with an aim to combat extreme poverty around the world.

“Global Citizen Live is part of Global Citizen’s 2021 global campaign, a Recovery Plan for the World. The Recovery Plan focuses on five key objectives: ending COVID-19 for all, ending the hunger crisis, resuming learning for all, protecting the planet, and advancing equity for all,” the organisation’s website states.

Elton John, Lizzo, Chloe x Halle, Demi Lovato, Stevie Wonder and Adam Lambert were some of the other artists who performed at Saturday’s event.
